Fall Clothing Swap-O-Rama Returns to Astoria

If you’re fashion-independent, green-minded, DIY-centric or all of the above, this is the event for you! Swap-O-Ramas (aka swaplucks) are a fantastic way to get free new-to-you clothes, find a new home for clothing that no longer excites you, meet new friends and help save the environment. All without costing any money. DATE: Saturday, November 3rd TIME: 12:00 pm-3:00pm WHERE: A.R.R.O.W. Community Center ADDRESS: 35-30 35th Street in Astoria N/Q to 36th Avenue or R to Steinway HOW THE SWAP WORKS: You bring clothes, other people bring clothes…and then you swap. It's that easy. PLEASE NOTE: Remaining items will be donated to folks in need due to Hurricane Sandy. Logistics are still being coordinated but, for right now, we will be sending leftover shoes, clothing and accessories only. **** This event is co-sponsored by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation.

PING PONG in the PARK: August 19

Free ping pong during the 4th Annual Astoria Park Shore Fest (along Shore Boulevard) organized by the Astoria Park Alliance and Green Shores NYC. Three ping pong tables will be available for anyone to use, free of charge, on Sunday August 21st between 1-6:30pm. Tables are constructed by Build It Green! NYC, a building materials salvage warehouse located in Astoria. Bring your friends and let's play ball!

Spring Clothing Swap-O-Rama Returns to Astoria on April 14th!
